Holda and her musicians

Holda, a good and ethereal being, lives in the elderberry bushes growing near rivers, springs and lakes. On summer evenings she sits with her flute under the starry sky with her elfin friends, and invites you to a performance of unusual melodies, whispers, stories and signs of a coming storm in the forest.

Sice 2002 we have organised open air concerts in the Parco dei Cento Laghi, now the National Park of the Appenino Tosco-Emiliano, in collaboration with the municipality of Corniglio. They are held in a natural amphitheatre, a hollow called Lago Secco, and the audience grows in number every year. Performances are aimed at children and adults, and take place after nightfall. In this natural theatre setting, the musicians emerge like creatures from the forest playing the flute, the horn, trombones, violin and spinet.

The performance can be adapted for different locations and can be staged even where there is no car access. No power supply is required. It lasts approximately one hour and includes music for instruments and songs as well as short stories.
